This is the original account of Andre by those who were directly involved with him -- Harry Goodridge, with authoring assistance of his neighbor, Lew Dietz. Although a bit dated, and somewhat incomplete (there is a little more to the story than is covered in this book), it nonetheless makes for rewarding reading for anyone interested in this remarkable, heartwarming, real-life tale of a human-animal bond.

If you've viewed the PBS Nature series episode, "My Wild Affair - The Seal Who Came Home", and liked it, you will enjoy this detailed account of Andre and the incredible bond he made with Harry, in the words of Harry himself.

This is a superbly written family story about a harbor seal
and his adopted family. A True story, no less.
Well written and an interesting view on this good New England based story.
I purchased this book for my Grandchildren who live "away". They love that it is a true story.
