Dom Vs Domme The Deluxe Trilogy A Billionaire Romance Dom Vs Domme Book 0 edition by Cynthia Dane Romance eBooks

This was a well-balanced read by a talented author. It took me several days to read the entire trilogy, but in this case, I didn't find that a hindrance. It gave me time to ruminate on what I'd read.

First, I loved that Ms. Dane lost the fourth wall. I was tickled pink when Kathryn spoke directly to me. It was a refreshing use of first person pov. To be that privy to her and Ian's thoughts made them more endearing to me.

Secondly, I really liked Kathryn and Ian. Ms. Dane presented two well-developed, well-cast characters in this story. I could sense Kathryn's constant struggle to belong, to fit in. There wasn't a single pity-party, just an awareness that as a woman in the uber-rich world, women were still viewed as commodities. There was no equal footing. A woman had to wear a big brass set in order to compete.

And Ian was the epitome of the privileged male. Anything he wanted, he got. His arrogance was fostered by a society that automatically valued his input, his life, over women just as intelligent, just as aggressive.

I really appreciated Ms. Dane's approach to evening the playing field.

Lastly, the tertiary characters were exciting. There were a few times they could have bordered on the caricature side, but thankfully, it never went too far over. They fit their rules well.

This was a book that felt as if Ms. Dane researched her topic well. It felt comfortable, entertaining, painful and actually quite realistic, which says a lot considering it's a romance novel with a precluded HEA.

Well-done, Ms. Dane.

Dom Vs Domme The Deluxe Trilogy A Billionaire Romance Dom Vs Domme Book 0 edition by Cynthia Dane Romance eBooks Reviews

Truly enjoyed the love story. I love happy endings and it gave one.
This was my first time reading Cynthia Dane. I loved this story. Cynthia Dane is definitely going into my favorite category.
LOVE IT!! loved the combination of characters including both sets of parents. the l sex both Vanilla and Dom with sub was so well written felt the conflict literally. MORE MORE
Dom vs Domme could have been better.
The idea was great. The characters were great. But the actions were a little boring.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS! 2 strong characters, battling for control . . . I could not finish it fast enough and was left wanting even more. Can't wait to read the other books in this group.
Loved the story, the strong male & female characters and all the hot sex! BUT- there are a few large issues. I find it hard to believe characters with 8 years of education and were raised as billionaires would repeatedly use "ain't". The adjectives & nouns, adverbs and verbs were flipped way too often. The characters talking directly to the reader was a huge turn off. Half the quotations were missing, so I had to go back and read the page again to try to figure out which character was speaking. "Curl my first", instead of fist? "Before she can flirt with my any longer", instead of me? "That we of all people is doing this", instead of are? It's just plain lazy!!!! Without these issues, I'd have happily rated the book a 5.

I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH THE IMPORTANCE OF EDITING!!!
Katheryn and Ian's story is riveting. There is wonderful chemistry between the characters. The D/D/s struggle for her is well thought out. I enjoyed the double 1st person narrative, it was unusual but well done. I do recommend this book if you enjoy the dynamics of a D/s T/b relationship. It was also enjoyable in that it was a sensual/sexual dominance and not necessarily a sadistic/masochistic relationship. I would like to take a 1/2 star away for a few editorial issues. There weren't misspelled words but word errors that spell check would not necessarily catch, it needed a better editorial eye.
